Hello, music lovers! We have a house concert coming up: the Paul Renz Jazz Quartet, coming on Friday, November 13 at 8 p.m. Paul hales from Minnesota, is a jazz guitarist, and is touring to promote his new CD, In My Own Hands. (In My Own Hands is in JazzWeek Top Ten in twenty cities throughout the country!) You can read about him and check his CDs, his tour schedule, and his quartet at www.paulrenz.com. The suggested ticket price is $20 per person attending. Baskets will be at the entrances to the music room to accept your donations, so there’s no need to pay in advance. As is always the case, our music room calls for casual, comfortable dress. We’ll have light refreshments at the intermission, and while that will include wine, we won’t be offended if you have a favorite you’d like to bring along. We will be keeping a log of those attending. So far 45 have indicated that they plan to attend. We’ll hold a place for you if you let us know you’re coming by writing me at lkrantz@cfw.com; spaces will be available on a first come, first served basis. If you reserve a spot and find that your plans have changed, please let us know ASAP so we can let folks on the waiting list know that they will be able to attend.
